Our program is Affordable

and a large amount of profits go toward supporting acupuncture research!

Why is this important for a practitioner? WSIB and insurance companies are not going to fund acupuncture based on testimonies. They fund acupuncture treatments based on the results of research. Insurance companies and other stakeholders have highly cited studies by Dr. Trinh and his team. Visit our "Articles" tab to review these Articles and Research Documents!

We have an impeccable safety record over the last 23 years!

Dr. Trinh and some of the teachers are in the acupuncture expert testimony business by providing expert opinions to lawyers and to professional regulators such as the CPSO.

The McMaster University Medical Acupuncture Program: An Evidence-Based Approach is where you learn safe acupuncture needling techniques and the most current and compelling scientific evidence about acupuncture.

Our Program is focused on musculoskeletal problems, especially in relation to Sports Medicine.

The McMaster University Medical Acupuncture Program course enrollment is restricted to licensed MDs, DCs, PTs, RMTs, OTs, RAc, and RTCMP in whom acupuncture is within their scope of practice in their jurisdictions of practice.

Professional students in good academic standing are welcome to apply to our program. Each student will be assessed for eligibility on an individual basis. Submission of an application does not imply acceptance.  The application will be reviewed by our Admissions Committee.

Our Program presents a unique 11x17" Certificate of Attendance to our students!

Student Feedback

“As an M.D. and a neurologist, I needed an acupuncture program that was evidence based. I searched the U.S. and Canada and the program that best suited my needs was at McMaster.”
