Medical Acupuncture Program
An Evidence-based Approach to Traditional Chinese Medicine
Chair: Dr. K. Trinh

Emphasis will be placed on evidence based reviews of protocols used in clinical studies. The safety issues and adverse effects will be discussed based on the current scientific literature. Locations of a set of points will be demonstrated through class illustrations and small group practice sessions. Students will have ample opportunities to practice safe needling techniques in the small group practice sessions. This course is required as a pre-requisite to all the courses in Unit 1&2.
